If you are ever in southern Kenya and would like to do some shopping in a small town, then you should visit Voi. You will get the small town feel and be able to shop for some nice things.

The town of Voi had started as just a little trade post for different tribes and groups. As the Uganda Railway was constructed, the town began to grow as people moved in to work on the construction of the railway. The town’s center now mostly consists of shops, kiosks, markets, and a few hotels.

If you are looking for transportation within the town of Voi or to bring you to any other destination, you can take the train. Taxis and buses are another common mode of transportation that can be found there. You can also rent a motorbike if you would like to get out on your own.

So if you love that small town feel and would like to see some of the culture of southern Kenya, then Voi is a great destination for you. You can go there, look at what the town has grown into and go into the little shops to see what kind of treasures you can find.
